Whoa.
I just stumbled over Titans East #1.... and though I am not fond of the new team, the issue starts with a look at the Teen Titans with their classical roster. Whoa.... There are some pictures of my favourtie alien heroine Starfire there....

I'll post some pictures to my other blog, once I've skimmed through the issue successfully.

Hey all there who've been reading and wondering as to my silence...

the silence has a reason.

I am stuck.

I am stuck mostly with the definition of my world. I had an idea based on a war of the gods concept, with an evil god winning, banishing everyone and a return of the gods, later....

.... but that is the wrong core for my world, the wrong vision. And now I have to start all over and collect and more important: Sort the ideas I had for my world.

Slowly the image reforms, but I guess I will keep writing at least one piece per month so that the stories progress. The pictures displayed are yet small enough, it doesn't make a difference. Yet.

And there is one other thing on my mind, and that is this new character, Tanya I introduced in: [link]

I imagine her in a cloak, meshes, a net turned into a cloak. The meshes as big as a hand. The cloak is either made from touch rope, or from a strange metal, something she has found on her journeys and has one or two layers, while she still refuses to wear anything else....

Strange how a though cna create an image in your mind, eh?

Hey all you out there.

Just a heads up for those wondering why I have been so silent. I have been toying around with the google toolchain a bit lately, and I greatly regret, that deviantart does not offer me a rich-text editor. *sigh* that does make copy and paste more of a work than it should be and greatly reduces my productivity.

I will this week probably have my current work ready to post it on Deviantart. As usually this is only a piece of a greater fiction, and already thigns are whilring through my head. New ideas and thoughs just waiting to be tried.

Anyway....

Today I stumbled over this little quote and while I do not share the experiences that might have lead to this, here it is still, for you to enjoy:

I feared being alone until I learned to like myself.
I feared failure until I realized that I only fail when I don't try.
I feared success until I realized that I had to try in order to be happy with myself.
I feared people's opinions until I learned that people would have opinions about me anyway.
I feared rejection until I learned to have faith in myself.
I feared pain until I learned that it's necessary for growth.
I feared the truth until I saw the ugliness in lies.
I feared life until I experienced its beauty.I feared death until I realized that it's not an end, but a beginning.
I feared my destiny, until I realized that I had the power to change my life.
I feared hate until I saw that it was nothing more than ignorance .
I feared love until it touched my heart, making the darkness fade into endless sunny days.
I feared ridicule until I learned how to laugh at myself.
I feared growing old until I realized that I gained wisdom every day.
I feared the future until I realized that life just kept getting better.
I feared the past until I realized that it could no longer hurt me.
I feared the dark until I saw the beauty of the starlight.
I feared the light until I learned that the truth would give me strength.
I feared change, until I saw that even the most beautiful butterfly had to undergo a metamorphosisbefore it could fly.

There are some things here, where I have a different opinion on. Maybe I will tell you... tomorrow...

You can't imagine how happy I am that I managed to complete Holy Vision (see: [link] ).

The success that comes from this feeling is quite... great. The first milestone to my world is set. It took me too long, but it is finally done.

The next few days I am going to roll some ideas around in my head and set up a more detaield concept for the next story. I already know some details, and I think I am going to teaser you a bit.

Spoiler do not read on, if you don't want to be spoilered.
SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER

The first thing I can tell you is, this new story will be set considerably in the future compared to the first story. Quite a lot of things have happened since then. Malabeth is no longer a priestess of the Demonspider, but serves the entity she has seen in her vision ( See Holy Vision pt 1-4 ).

Malabeth has come into conflict with a goddess of Undeath and Passion. The problem is, that Malabeth as well as the goddess are very proud creatures. And one of them - ooohkay, it's bvious anyway - Malabeth didn't shut her mouth when she had to. Thus she was banished by her won goddess to teach her a lesson.

Without help she has been sent into the realm of eternal ice. Her equipment is far from perfect for this operation. But this will give me the possibility to introduce another character, as it would be a little illogical for Malabeth to survive this icy hell.

The new character is a wildelf. In my world wildelves worship the spirits of all things and concepts, an animistic system of belief that extends well beyond the normal concept of the classical four elements: water, fire, earth and air. Their power combined with these spirits is quite strong, and some go further than that, by allowing themselves to become one with the spirits. They share their powers and minds. The effects can be strange and those who are not strong enough will be devoured in the process. Their mind merges with the spirit and no one can tell anymore, who is the elf, and who is the spirit.

The wildelves are indeed a wild race, seen by many as uncivilized and barbaric. They shun clothing, and weapons fascinate them, because usually strong spirits surround these tools. They learn their beauty and dangers by working with them. They expect their culture to be accepted by others, and of course it mostly is not that easy. Or what would you say, when you see someone like this:
[link]

That picture there is likewise my inspiration for Tanya.

... I could tell so much more, but I think I will allow you to experience the realm of eternal ice all by yourself, by writing the story. I'll keep you posted on things I plan and how I think they work out.

Holy Vision - COMPLETED

had to make some corrections. Just uploaded a new version of part 4 and a new versionof the collected deviation, this should hopefully help with some of the phrases and mistakes made. :)

My first multipart story has been completed. It is called:
Holy Vision
And is the "kickoff" for my own fantasy world (though the world is very D&D centric). Into the realm of the underground dark elves a new power is introduced, a new goddess with her own agenda.

And Malabeth, a young priestess to the Demonspider is drawn towards this new power, experiencing a vision, which will not only effect her own life.

These are the four parts:
Part 1: [link]
Part 2: [link]
Part 3: [link]
Part 4: [link]

And if you prefer and for those of you who like offline reading a complete collection:

Holy Vision - Collection: [link] all of it compiled into a single PDF.

This is only the beginning.
